To keep up with projected growth in some parts of the county and prevent the overcrowding of schools, we’re opening three new schools:

Other parts of the proposal are aimed at relieving some overcrowded schools, increasing the base attendance areas at under-utilized schools, and improving transportation efficiency. 

Some students affected by this proposal will be able to submit a stability transfer and remain at their current school. Review the stability rules.

Attend virtual information sessions on the first draft of the 2022-23 enrollment proposal. To participate, attend the session that corresponds with your area. All families will have the opportunity to submit questions during the session via chat. See if you are proposed to be affected.

 

  • Oct. 20,  6 - 7:30 p.m.: Apex Friendship ES. Attend virtually.

  • Oct. 21,  6 - 7:30 p.m.: Herbert Akins, Holly Springs to Fuquay High. Attend virtually.

  • Oct. 28,  6 - 7:30 p.m.: Barton Pond,  Leesville/Millbrook High. Attend virtually.

  • Nov. 1,  6 - 7:30 p.m.: Capped schools, under-utilized schools including calendar application area changes. Attend virtually.
